(Small learning communites)
Small Learning Communities (S.L.C) is run by one teacher-leader, one school counselor, and a dozen teachers who use rigorous instruction and data-tracking analysis to ensure credit accumulation and graduation success. Each SLC is linked to career themes and has connections to the professional world with various partnerships and internships around New York City.

Our Values
Mission: We provide students with tools to explore scientific problems through critical thinking and hands-on activities to familiarize students with the tools that they will use in the future. Students will also coordinate with other institutions across the city, such as Cornell and their generously gifted Hydro/Aquaponics research lab, along with being able to learn from top class professors.

Our Values
Mission: Our Biz-Tek program introduces students to transverse a diverse list of computer related courses, such as CAD/CAM where students can learn how to make functional virtual designs, and print models of their designs. Other students will learn different programming languages, which they can also take into future careers when they leave high school.

Mission: We seek to underline the importance and value of civic responsibility and service work, by offering courses which prepare students for successful public/community careers in federal, state, and local government or in community service agencies. Students are inspired to learn how to become active participants in their communities and encouraged to celebrate their individual /cultural differences by participating in debates, conferences, class trips, community group projects, town hall-style meetings, student government, and Mock trials and Moot Court.

Our Values
Mission: The Academy of Media, Arts, and Music is an Honors program that introduces students to higher educations through the humanities, a curriculum based on several well-rounded subjects. Some of these programs are the award-winning Media track, which includes Model United Nations, Journalism, Film Studies, or Creative Writing. This program creates students of the highest quality, and allows them to excel, even when they pursue higher education.

Our Values
Mission:The Hillcrest Theater Institute is a four-year program for students who wish to study all aspects of the performing arts. We have multiple classrooms and two fully equipped stages that allow students to learn all aspects of the art and craft of theater. Students can study acting, set design and construction, script writing, directing, choreography, production, film making and editing. Students receive the opportunity to attend Broadway and Off-Broadway productions multiple times during their years at Hillcrest.
